Nurse Kat, RN, MSN
Hello! My name is Kat. I am from San Diego originally, but I have lived in Montana and Baltimore as well. I started off in medicine working as an EMT here in San Diego and then got my Master's in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. No matter where I go though, I always end up back in San Diego. I enjoy going on adventures with my dog, reading mystery novels, and karaoke. Ask me anything!
Health Tech Maricel Bio
I was born in a small town back in the Phillipines sorrounded by a river and mountains. It is truly amazing to grow up in a place where the way of living is very simple. However, with limited resources specially in the healthcare industry, it is really difficult. Because of this, it aspired me to be in the medical field. Since then, my passion has always been Nursing and caring people most specially children.
Luckily I was given a chance to go to Manila where I got my Nursing degree, worked as a private Nurse and eventually in a Hospital-based Pedia and NICU, took care of well and sick babies in particular until I came to the US with my son to be with my Dad and be closer to most of my family who have settled here for quite a while, mostly for better opportunities jobwise. My passion always bring me to children whom I love taking care the most as I am fortunate to work at the District with the School I consider as my 2nd home.
